About Us

"Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble. "

-- John Lewis

Why are we doing this?

Growing up in a rural, underserved community overshadowed by larger urban centers, we have experienced first hand the damage that a city-centric education system can cause. This system leaves behind not only underserved students, but also the communities in which they grow up. As teenagers, we attempted to change this system from within our communities but lacked the resources, experience, and knowledge necessary to truly have an impact.

While we eventually congratulated ourselves on moving on to bigger cities, the formative experiences of our home towns never left our minds. Now with the added experience of time, we are making a more concentrated effort to once again bring change to the communities in which we grow up.

We believe that through hard work, optimism, and dedication, passionate people can work together to improve the communities in which they live.

What are we doing?

Inspired by the words of the great John Lewis, we seek to hone the optimism and passions of the members of rural, underserved communities and help them flourish. With these goals in mind, we work with strategic partners to develop and implement programs that focus on rural school districts and communities to get them the help that they require based on their specific needs.

Currently, we are connecting rural school districts to sources of funding to increase student wireless connectivity for remote learning, resources for teachers who have to juggle their jobs and families, and student engagement and participation in the learning experience as well as in their own communities.
